It’s great to see the latest work happening around Mooroolbark with Jotomex Civil Contractors widening the footpath to follow on from the station upgrade earlier this year – displaying their exemplary service and work ethic.
A lot of press over the last 2-3 weeks has been talking down the market. We’ve noticed a bit of a drop in demand and buyer urgency. We have seen some activity come back in the past week or so but not quite as strong as before. It was only 3 weeks ago that in a 7 day period we sold 19 properties, with an average days on market of 10 days. Things are still active, but we’ve seen quite an easing from the dizzy heights the market reached earlier in the year – a winding back that was probably inevitable.
The month of October was National Breast Cancer month and for every sale we make – throughout the year – we contribute funds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation – a great charity and a great cause. The Professionals group across Australia are a diamond partner of NBCF.
It’s been a massive week for Methven – we recently flew a number of our team up to Brisbane for the Professionals Annual Awards, and we were honoured to have our Mooroolbark office awarded Office of the Year for the East Coast of Australia, and the Methven Group awarded Company of the Year for the Professionals. We then attended Professionals International awards where we were very proud to receive Company of the Year for the whole Professionals network, Australia and New Zealand wide. At the REIV awards at Crown Palladium we were in the finals for 2 categories – Mooroolbark for large residential agency of the year; and Mount Evelyn for small agency of the year. We were stoked to win both!
